BlackAlps 2019 was an event enabling to discuss the latest threats, mitigations and advances in cyber security. The event featured cyber security experts from Switzerland and abroad. It was addressed to anyone with an interest in cyber security or connected to the internet, e.g., CEOs, CIOs, CISO, CTOs, developers, and researchers.

TRACKS
TWO MAIN TRACKS
Talks and workshops were organized on two distinct tracks:
- The track « attacks » aimed to present exciting findings: the latest attacks, attack techniques, or research in vulnerabilities.
- The track « lessons learned » aimed to bring another dimension in the event by listening to feedback from people actively working in the security field. We are expecting fascinating talks from various domains.
The two tracks was recorded and broadcasted. Some sensitive talks was not be recorded depending on the Traffic Light Protocol category requested by the speaker.

NETWORKING OCCASIONS
NETWORKING AND EVENINGS
The event was a great opportunity for the participants to meet people and to expand their network. Several coffee breaks, lunches and aperitifs were organized. In addition, two evenings were held in stylish places. These moments were perfect to get the best out of networking.

Black Alps offered the possibility to extend the experience by participating to three side events:
Y-NOT-CTF
Capture The Flag (CTF) is a game-like competition where participants are required to solve various cyber security challenges, such as attacking a Website, reverse engineering and/or exploiting an appliaction, and many others.
SMART TRAINS – DOES RAIL CYBERSECURITY MATTER?
A special event was organized on a specific topic: trains are becoming « Datacenters on wheels » and infrastucture smart, how are we going to secure them? Several presentations was offered to participants.
(2015: data privacy, 2016: blockchain, 2017: company threats, 2018: security of medical devices).
RUMP SESSION
The end of the two days, a rump session was organized to offer the possibility to present something through very short talks.
